Give. Save Lives. It's Shockingly Simple.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) can affect anyone, anytime. Children can have SCA, teenagers can have SCA, athletes can have SCA, elderly people can have SCA. Even in areas with challenges accessing advanced care, chances of surviving SCA increases dramatically with proper and timely use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
This Giving Tuesday, help Floating Doctors add additional AEDs and Rescue Kits to our Remote Outpost and emergency bags!

SCA has many causes- congenital defects, illness, heart attack, environmental conditions, even physical contact! A hard blow to the chest can knock a healthy, well-conditioned athlete into cardiac arrest. Dehydration or heat exertion can do the same. Did you know that most drowning victims go into cardiac arrest as well? The bottom line is that anyone, at any age, can become a victim of sudden cardiac arrest!
Ensuring the safety of our crew, volunteers, and patients comes first in pursuit of our mission. In addition to our base Rescue Station, we carry an AED in our emergency bag to every clinic. As our programs are growing, it's time to add to our arsenal of lifesaving devices. We need your help to add a permanent Rescue Station to our Remote Outpost, and an additional AED for when our clinic teams split sites.
This Giving Tuesday, #GiveWithHeart. Your gift can save lives!
